As we strive to build community, we realize we cannot do all things without the support of our community partners and agencies working toward a common goal. We regularly partner with other organizations to connect people with the resources and services they need. WCCC is also home to organizations that allow us to provide a continuum of services.
Both the West Central and Emerson-Garfield neighborhoods host weekly Farmers Markets providing our communities with fresh and healthy foods. The markets begin in the spring and continue until the snow flies and showcase the best offerings from our regional farms.
The West Central Neighborhood Coalition, a group of more than 80 service providers in our community, meets at the Center monthly to provide service updates, share ideas and collaborate on events to bring our community together. In the spring, the Coalition stages “Neighbor Days”, a carnival of fun, food, games and service information. Coats for Kids
The Community Center is a long-time partner in this critical community collaboration. Hundreds of coats for young and old are distributed by volunteers for two weeks in the fall of each year.
